PhyVir: Development of an Interactive Learning Website with Experiment Simulations for Enhanced Science Education
The rapid advancement of technology has transformed education, making digital learning platforms essential for enhancing the learning experience. Traditional teaching methods often fall short, especially in science, where many schools lack crucial experiment equipment. This makes it difficult for teachers to effectively demonstrate scientific theories and for students to gain a deeper understanding. To address these challenges, an innovative learning website has been developed, offering virtual experiment simulations to bridge the gap between theory and practice. While existing simulation websites exist, many do not align with the KSSM standards set by the Ministry of Education and often require paid subscriptions, limiting access for many. Our new website provides a free, KSSM-compliant alternative. It guides teachers through experiment practice via simulations, allowing them to effectively plan, conduct, and analyze experiments. All resources, simulations, and educational materials are meticulously designed to support specific topics and standards outlined in the KSSM textbook, ensuring teachers have access to relevant content that enhances their teaching. Built using Wix, the website integrates engaging activities from Wordwall and learning apps. For experiment simulations, Scratch is used to build the framework. By offering interactive simulations, curriculum-aligned resources, and engaging activities, this innovative platform enhances science education, supporting more effective and engaging learning for both teachers and students. Ultimately, we hope this innovation will significantly improve the quality of education for future generations.
