STATE SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN AZERBAIJAN'S REGIONS
State support plays a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship and stimulating economic growth in Azerbaijan’s regions. Government initiatives, including tax incentives, subsidies, infrastructure development, and institutional support, have been implemented to enhance the business environment and promote small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These measures aim to diversify the economy, reduce regional disparities, and encourage innovation. The expansion of industrial parks, the activities of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), and targeted financial assistance have contributed to the increasing number of SMEs in various regions. However, despite these efforts, challenges such as limited access to finance, inadequate infrastructure in certain areas, and insufficient market integration remain obstacles to achieving balanced regional development. Addressing these issues through improved policy implementation, stronger public-private collaboration, and enhanced financial accessibility will be essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of entrepreneurship across the country. The continuous evolution of state support mechanisms will determine the success of regional businesses in contributing to Azerbaijan’s economic development.Purpose: This article examines the state's role in supporting the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan’s regions.
