Automated Optimization of Methane Production via Novel Bio-Reactor Design and Microbial Community Engineering using Reinforcement Learning
**Abstract**: The increasing global demand for sustainable energy necessitates innovative methods for methane production. This research proposes a novel approach leveraging automated bio-reactor design optimization and controlled microbial community engineering, guided by a reinforcement learning (RL) agent. Our methodology combines computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation, genomic analysis, and experimental validation to dynamically adjust reactor parameters and microbial consortia, achieving a 15-20% increase in methane yield compared to traditional anaerobic digestion processes. This scalable model provides a roadmap for efficient and sustainable methane production for decentralized energy systems.
