The Impact of Multimedia Teaching Aids on Primary School Students' Learning Motivation in China
This study explores the impact of multimedia teaching aids on the learning motivation of primary school students in China, focusing on the three dimensions of intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and task value. Employing a quantitative research approach, this research was conducted with 144 fifth-grade students, aged 9 to 12, who came from Anhui Province. The subjects were randomly allocated into four different groups, such as video, audio, interactive whiteboards, and gamified tools. During the two-week experiment, all groups learned the same instructional content through assigned tools. This study collected quantitative data through pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results showed that interactive whiteboards are the most effective in improving learning interest, participation, and perception of the importance of learning. Video tools are effective in increasing the sense of task value. The research results show that the use of appropriate multimedia teaching aids can improve students' learning motivation. This study recommends strengthening teacher multimedia technology training and optimizing resource allocation. In the future, the comprehensive use of multiple multimedia tools and their long-term effects can be further explored, combined with qualitative research methods, to gain a deeper understanding of students' subjective experiences and emotions.
