PHEROMONES AND THEIR BIOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE

This article involves the essence of the concept of "pheromones" and their biological significance. The article gives information about various options for their use in agriculture to struggle with the insects- pests. The definition and types of pheromones are given: sexual pheromones, “alarm” pheromones, trace pheromones, their functions and importance for the organism and environment, as a whole.
