PROPOSAL FOR A STARSHIP — Systems Roadmap & Open Engineering Plan
We present a systems‑of‑systems roadmap for a reproducible, open, and incremental deep‑space vehiclearchitecture built from modules we already engineered in prior work: photonic sails, a flux‑redirectionswarm (Dyson‑Spire), a high‑current HTS ring for local magnetic fields, electrostatic air/plasma curtainsfor particulate/beam mitigation, KCR magneto‑optic sensing for current/field metrology, and a rapidprototyping toolchain (open CAD, 3D printing, and CNC fixtures). We remove all science‑fiction framingand propose publishable experiments with KPIs, equations, safety, and BOMs such that an independentlab can replicate each stage. A realistic 10‑year horizon culminates in a Pathfinder platform (TRL 4–6) thatdemonstrates stacked shielding, sail‑assist propulsion, and closed‑loop operations. No faster‑than‑lightclaims are made; Stage‑III “metric” work is framed strictly as positive‑energy analogs and upper bounds.
