Mineralogical fabric and fluid controls on shale microfractures and their asymmetric effects on porosity and permeability
The microfracture and macrofracture density data derived from 1158 metres of core samples from seven basins, together with the raw data supporting all figures in this manuscript, including measurements of total organic carbon (TOC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), triaxial compression experiments, acoustic emission (AE), porosity and permeability, are available at database.
