Dijital Bankacılık Kavramının RStudio ile Bibliyometrik Analizi

In the digitalization process, traditionally used information and applications are converted into digital codes with the help of computers. The transformation is mediated by the internet, artificial intelligence technologies, cloud computing systems, and mobile devices. One of the sectors where innovation and digitalization are most intense is the banking sector. It is noteworthy that the changes in product and service offerings in the banking sector have been triggered especially by the Covid-19 process. In the analysis, it is clearly seen that this period, in which studies on digitalization have accelerated, is observed. In this study, the development of studies on the concept of digital banking over the years has been investigated. Bibliometric analysis, a method frequently encountered in recent years, was preferred for the research conducted. The bibliometrix program was selected in RStudio and the biblioshiny application was used. The analysis used Web of Science (WoS), a world-renowned and accepted database. The WoS database was scanned for the key concept of ‘digital banking’ by selecting the categories of economy, economic theory and management, and the findings were interpreted. The period from the beginning of 1997 to april 2024 was examined within the framework of 928 documents obtained from 449 sources. The annual number of publications and citations in these years, the most published and cited authors and publications, the countries with the most or least publications, collaborations between countries and the most frequently repeated words were determined. As a result of the findings, the year in which the most studies were conducted was 2023 and the years in which the least studies were conducted were 1997 and 2000. There were no publications in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Although the country that published the most on digital banking was China, the country that received the most citations was the United States of America (USA). When all publications were examined, it was seen that the most cited publication was the study titled 'The economics of Bitcoin and similar private digital currencies', published in 2015 and belonging to Dwyer. The most frequently used keywords related to 'Digital banking' are fintech, blockchain, banking, digital transformation, digitalization. In addition to all these findings, 29 studies conducted in Türkiye were found within the framework of the concept researched.
