The Heart, the Field, and the Book: Memory and Consciousness in the Pure Time Theory

This paper extends the Pure Time Theory (PTT) into the domains of memory, instinct, and consciousness. It proposes a unified model in which these phenomena are not confined to neural activity, but emerge from structured interactions with a scalar temporal field denoted Trelax. This field, introduced in prior PTT publications, encodes causal curvature, informational access, and ontological resonance. A dual-layered architecture of consciousness is developed: Layer 1 represents localized, brain-based cognition; Layer 2 corresponds to the ontological consciousness rooted in the Rūḥ (spirit), interfacing with the field through the Qalb (heart). Memory is reinterpreted as temporal resonance with past curvatures; instinct as synchronization with species-level attractors; and consciousness as a structural computation between origin, field, and interface. The roles of genetics and epigenetics are reassigned as access modulators to field-level structures, not as containers of behavioral code. Finally, the framework finds deep coherence with Islamic metaphysics, proposing that Trelax may correspond to the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawḥ al-Maḥfūẓ), the ontological Book in which every act, intention, and memory is inscribed. The paper closes with testable neuroscientific hypotheses and clarifies the strictly instrumental role of artificial intelligence in exploring such layered cognition.
