A Study On Trofa Bar (Triple Omega Fatty Acid) – A Miracle Food For Hyperlipidemia
Hyperlipidemia, a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, has seen a rising trend due to modern dietary patterns and sedentary lifestyles. Functional foods offer a promising dietary intervention with fewer side effects compared to pharmacological treatments. This study evaluates the efficacy of the TROFA Bar a functional snack enriched with triple omega fatty acids (omega-3, 6, and 9) in managing hyperlipidemia. A total of 100 participants from Puducherry were screened, and 20 hyperlipidemic individuals were selected for the intervention. The TROFA Bar, containing chia seeds, flaxseeds, walnuts, and dark chocolate, was administered daily for 30 days. Pre- and post-lipid profiles were assessed. Results showed a significant reduction in LDL and total cholesterol levels, alongside an increase in HDL. The study concludes that the TROFA Bar is a cost-effective, safe, and palatable dietary supplement for lipid management.
