There is no man or woman / only the god of love": The Poetry of Hoshang Merchant and Gopikrishnan Kottoor

This research article assesses the poetry of Hoshang Merchant and Gopikrishnan Kottoor who have voiced the contemporary feelings and contributed their mite to enrich the cultural heritage of India in one way or other. What binds these two poets is the ingredient of love. Love makes Hoshang Merchant long for soul in spite of the fact that he is a gay poet. Kottoor becomes the Gopi and sings the songs of love in praise of Krishna, the Almighty.
