Conference e-Poster 386; Enhancing Trace DNA profile Recovery in Forensic Casework Samples: Evaluation of Amplicon RX™ Post-PCR Clean-up Kit on GlobalFiler™ PCR Products

This study assesses the effectiveness of the Amplicon RX™ Post-PCR Clean-up Kit in improving the sensitivity and accuracy of trace DNA profiling using the GlobalFiler™ PCR Amplification Kit. Comparing 55 samples processed under conventional 30-cycle and modified 29-cycle + Amplicon RX™ protocols, results show a significant RFU increase (from 254 to 454) and enhanced allele recovery with reduced drop-in risk. The method also enables faster, more cost-efficient processing. These findings demonstrate the value of Amplicon RX™ in producing higher-quality DNA profiles from challenging forensic samples.
