A Study on Awareness and Usage of AI and Automation Tools in HR functions

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation tools in Human Resource (HR) functions is transforming traditional HR practices by enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and strategic decisionmaking. This study aims to assess the level of awareness and the extent of usage of AI and automation tools among HR professionals. Through a mixed-methods approach combining surveys and interviews, the research identifies key areas where these technologies are applied, such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement. The findings reveal a moderate level of awareness but a varying degree of adoption, often influenced by organizational size, technological readiness, and the skill levels of HR personnel. Challenges such as lack of training, data privacy concerns, and resistance to change are also examined. The study concludes with recommendations for improving AI literacy and fostering a culture of innovation within HR departments.
