Citation Disparities Between COVID-19 and Alzheimer's Research During the 2020 Pandemic Surge
This project presents a bibliometric analysis comparing citation impact in Alzheimer's disease and COVID-19 research during a specific time frame. Using citation-based metrics from the Web of Science database, the study examines differences in citation performance between the two fields for articles published in a defined time frame. Conducted as part of an undergraduate internship, this work introduces data-driven methods for evaluating scientific influence and contributes to understanding how emerging and chronic diseases are represented in the biomedical literature.
