Pedionis (Pedionis) rufoscutellata Huang and Viraktamath

Pedionis (Pedionis) rufoscutellata Huang and Viraktamath, n. rec. (Figs. 1A–D, 2A–G) Diagnosis. Aedeagal shaft with pair of triangular lobe-like projections apically and pair of small finger-like processes almost at midlength. Distal part dorsal connective with margins serrated. Description Measurement. Male 3.2–3.3 mm. Coloration. Crown, face and pronotum yellowish brown, with punctations dark brown (Figs. 1A, C, D). Eyes grey. Scutellum reddish brown. Forewings with distal part dark brown, venation dark brown with white spots (Fig. 1B) Male genitalia. Pygofer dorsal margin incised, caudal margin declivous caudoventrally, tapered to point, ventral margin with some setae. Subgenital plate slender with many setae, several especially long at the end (Fig. 2A). Aedeagal shaft with pair of triangular sharp projections apically and pair of small finger-like processes almost at midlength (Figs. 2B, C). Connective broadened basally, finger-like protrusion in middle near apex, both sides bent to inside (Fig. 2D). Dorsal connective with broad base, a ventral curved and a median caudally-directed processes, the latter with a minutely serrated margin and produced into two obvious bendings (Fig. 2E). Style parallel-margined and angled on apical third, apex obliquely truncate, producing a narrow truncate process on dorsal margin (Figs. 2F, G).
