ADAPTATION OF THE POSITIVE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES SCALE TO KYRGYZ CULTURE
This study aimed to adapt the Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE) Scale to Kyrgyz-speaking culture and to examine its validity and reliability among adults in Kyrgyzstan. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted on a sample of 222 participants. The results revealed a unidimensional structure explaining 51.14% of the variance, with high internal consistency (α = 0.95). The scale holds scientific value in its appropriateness for assessing positive childhood experiences within the Kyrgyz cultural context. Its practical relevance lies in its potential use in both research and clinical settings. Further testing with diverse samples and application in cross-cultural studies is recommended.
