CFD Analysis And Evaluation Of Performance For Centrifugal Fan Using Wind Tunnel Testing
This study investigates the performance of acentrifugal fan using a combination of Computational FluidDynamics (CFD) simulations and wind tunnel testing. Theprimary objective is to evaluate the fan's airflowcharacteristics, pressure rise, and overall efficiency undervarying operational conditions. CFD simulations are utilizedto model the fan geometry, including the impeller, casing, anddiffuser, allowing for an in-depth analysis of flow patterns, pressure distribution, and velocity profiles. These simulationsare performed with a focus on optimizing fan design forimproved efficiency. Wind tunnel testing is then conducted tovalidate the CFD results by directly measuring keyperformance parameters such as airflow rate, static pressure, and fan power. The results from both methods are comparedto assess the accuracy of the CFD model, and anydiscrepancies are used to refine the simulation. The studyconcludes that the integration of CFD analysis and windtunnel testing provides a comprehensive approach toevaluating centrifugal fan performance, offering insights fordesign optimization and improved operational efficiency inpractical applications.
