Notably, the use of the mother tongue received the highest median rating. The study concludes that teachers’ communication skills significantly enhance student learning and the academic strand may affect how students perceive these skills. It is recommended that continuous professional development be provided for teachers to further refine their communication abilities, ensuring a supportive and effective learning environment for all students.
