Assessment of the Effectiveness of Yoga Practice in Pregnant Women
Abstract: Pregnancy is a unique experience and an essential part of a woman's life. Numerous physiological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual changes occur during this phase, affecting not only the mother but also her family. The Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Dahanu, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Dahanu, has been conducting yoga sessions for pregnant women to study the impact of yoga on birth weight, normal delivery rates, and other health benefits. Results suggest that yoga practice enhances birth weight, normal delivery rates, and mental well-being while reducing stress and depression symptoms. This paper expands on the significance of yoga during pregnancy, along with a detailed discussion on its challenges, and implications.
