The Dimitriev Caffeine-Nicotine Provocation Test: A Self-Experiment Model for Vasospastic Sensitivity
This report presents a case-based observational experiment involving the self-administration of caffeine and nicotine to provoke peripheral vasospastic symptoms potentially associated with Raynaud’s phenomenon. Although a classic triphasic vascular response was not observed, subclinical vascular irregularities were documented via photographic evidence. The study proposes the use of caffeine and nicotine as provocative agents in suspected early vasospastic disorders and introduces the term Post-Stimulatory Syndrome (PSS) to describe a possible aftereffect state.
