2024 European researchers'Night -Project Flyer (Greek version)

FUELGAE´s project partners, CERTH, participated in Researchers' Night. This is an event that takes place around Europe at the same time and shows researchers activities to the open public. CERTH presented the Goals and Overview of FUELGAE Project. European Union and Greece as part of it, aim for climate neutrality and the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Today, the transport sector is the most burdensome for the environment, as the related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are constantly increasing, in complete contrast to the decreasing trend of emissions from other economic activities. In this context, the technology developed through the FUELGAE project aims to develop an alternative CO2-negative and zero-waste unit for the sustainable production of advanced biofuels. To achieve this, the ability of microalgae to bind and convert CO2-rich gaseous pollutants into biomass rich in useful bioproducts is exploited. https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu/actions/msca-citizens/join-a-celebration-of-science
