Impact Of Anthropogenic Pollution On Meiofauna(Nematode): A Copmprehensive Review
Abstract: Pollution in oceans is becoming a serious problem, affecting many types of marine life, including marine nematodes, which are tiny worms living in the sea. These meiofauna show important role in the ocean's ecology, helping to breakdown organic material and reutilize nutrients. Contamination from chemicals, plastics, and other dangerous substances can harmfully impact nematodes by plummeting their numbers, alter the categories of species, and disturbing their ability to function properly. Adulterated environments may help certain species that can endure toxins, while others fight to live. It disrupt the equilibrium of the ecosystem. Nematodes are also useful in observing pollution levels, making them treasured for understanding the well-being of marine environments. This study shows how pollution affects these important creatures and emphasizes the need for further research to protect ocean life
