A New Perspective on Rational Cohomology and Algebraic Cycles in Projective Varieties

This paper looks at a long-standing question in algebraic geometry: whether certain types of geometric structures, called cohomology classes, can always be described using algebraic formulas. The problem has been studied for decades, but some cases have been difficult to solve because of specific counterexamples. In this work, we take a new approach by re-examining the structure of these cohomology classes. By carefully addressing the known issues, like torsion classes and integral multiples, we present a method that avoids the problems that caused previous proofs to fail. While this paper does not claim to settle the question completely, it offers a fresh way of looking at the problem and may contribute to further mathematical research in this area.
