Suitability of Learning Resources Used by Teachers in Teaching Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE)

Abstract: Learning resources, no matter their nature and composition, constitute important and relevant components of successful teaching and learning. The key purpose of this study is to find out the level of suitability of learning resources used by teachers in teaching TLE in a municipality in the Negros Island Region for School Year 2024-2025 as the basis for an action plan. Descriptive research was conducted and used a 30-item survey questionnaire as a tool to gather data from forty-seven (47) TLE teachers. The results revealed that the level of suitability of learning resources used by teachers in teaching TLE in the areas of printed and digital resources was high. When grouped according to four variables, the level of suitability of learning resources used by teachers in teaching TLE in two areas was also high. Moreover, a significant difference was found in the level of suitability of learning resources used by teachers in teaching TLE when compared according to civil status. The result of this study serves as a basis for TLE teachers to improve themselves in the utilization of learning resources in teaching. This calls education planners and decision makers to allocate more funds, comprehensive support systems from stakeholders, policies to foster professional development, and enhance the quality of TLE education in Philippine public schools. Keywords: Learning resources, teaching technology and livelihood education, teachers
