Evaluating the effects of healthcare policies on hospital managemet in somalia
Abstract Healthcare policies play a crucial role in shaping hospital management, influencing financial sustainability, quality of care, and governance structures. This study examines the effects of healthcare policies on hospital management in Somalia, focusing on how policy implementation impacts hospital operations, staff training, and patient outcomes. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected through surveys and interviews with hospital administrators, healthcare workers, and policymakers in Mogadishu. The findings indicate that while healthcare policies aim to improve hospital efficiency and patient care, challenges such as inadequate funding, lack of infrastructure, and inconsistent policy enforcement hinder effective implementation. Additionally, healthcare workforce distribution and resource allocation remain critical concerns affecting hospital performance. The study highlights the need for well-structured policies that address financial constraints, enhance workforce capacity, and improve governance within hospitals. Recommendations include strengthening healthcare financing models, implementing effective training programs for healthcare workers, and fostering collaboration between the government and private sector to ensure sustainable healthcare management. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, hospital administrators, and healthcare professionals striving to enhance hospital management in Somalia.
