THE ROLE OF SECOND LANGUAGE ACQUISITION IN PERSONAL GROWTH: A PHILOSOPHICAL AND SOCIOLINGUISTIC PERSPECTIVE
This article explores the philosophical foundations and personal implications of second language acquisition, highlighting its transformative impact on individuals within the framework of an increasingly globalized society. Drawing from the results of a sociolinguistic survey conducted in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the study examines how multilingualism contributes to personal development across economic, social, and cognitive dimensions. Findings suggest a strong correlation between successful second language learning and positive identity transformation. The paper blends global philosophical insights with localized data to argue that second language acquisition functions not merely as a communicative tool, but as a key driver of intellectual and personal transformation.
