Quantum Collapse of the Digital Buddha
Abstract (EN): In this speculative essay, I propose an original analogy between the quantum collapse of wave functions, the Buddhist concept of anātman (non-self), and the algorithmic distortion of identity in social media environments. I argue that the algorithmic feed acts like a quantum observer: collapsing the user’s complex identity (E) into a simplified or even inverted version (¬E), much like how observation determines a singular outcome in quantum mechanics. This phenomenon, though technological in form, reveals a spiritual dimension: a new digital Māyā.The resulting identity is not merely curated—it is algorithmically measured, monetized, and often spiritually violated. In response, I propose the seeds of a Theology of the Glitch: a contemplative practice that accepts collapse not as prison, but as portal.
