Similarity Analysis for Magnetohydrodynamic Flow and Heat Transfer in Powell-Eyring Non-Newtonian Fluids

Abstract This research applies the scaling group transformation method to derive similarity solutions for the free convection boundary layer flow of a type of non-Newtonian fluid over a flat, two-dimensional surface, influenced by a magnetic field applied perpendicularly. The study centers on the Powell Eyring fluid model and explores its flow behavior using numerical simulations and visual graphs. Essential flow characteristics such as velocity profiles, skin friction, and temperature distribution are analyzed to better understand the fluid’s thermal and dynamic properties. The findings highlight how different physical parameters impact the flow, contributing to a deeper comprehension of non-Newtonian fluid behavior in the presence of magnetic fields.
