Zodarion guadianense Cardoso, 2003 Figs 26, 38F, 39F Zodarion guadianense Cardoso, in Pekár et al. 2003: 394, figs 25, 33 (♀). Type material examined. Holotype PORTUGAL: ♀, Ribeira de Limas (Parque Natural do Vale do Guadiana), Serpa, 14.VIII.2000, P. Cardoso leg., MNHN-AR14330. Diagnosis: The female of Z. guadianense can be distinguished from other relatives in the styliferum group by its small, sub-quadrate epigynal plate that widens posteriorly (Fig. 38F). Description: For a detailed description of the female habitus, see Pekár et al. (2003). Epigyne (Fig. 38F): Epigynal plate sub-quadrate, slightly widened posteriorly, anteriorly limited by a pair of touching chitinous margins. Copulatory openings and pits unclear. Comments: We could not photograph the epigyne of Z. guadianense since it is damaged. Based on the female copulatory organ, this species was classified in the rubidum group (Pekár et al. 2003). However, it shares remarkable similarities (Fig. 38F) with members of the styliferum group, including Z. bosmansi (Fig. 38D), Z. gregua (Fig. 38E), and Z. segurense (Fig. 38I). Therefore, we transfer Z. guadianense to the styliferum group. Distribution: Portugal.
