AVAILABILITY OF ICT RESOURCES IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AT ADMINISTRATION POLICE TRAINING COLLEGE, EMBAKASI KENYA

ABSTRACT The study evaluated ICT resource availability, adequacy, and impact on educational management at the Administration Police Training College (APTC) in Embakasi, Kenya. A descriptive research design incorporating qualitative and quantitative methods was used, with data collected from 125 staff members across eight faculties. Findings revealed inadequate ICT infrastructure, including limited functional computers, low internet bandwidth, and insufficient digital tools, hindering e-learning and administrative efficiency. Despite positive attitudes toward ICT, infrastructure deficits constrained adoption. The study concluded that APTC lacks sufficient ICT facilities for effective law enforcement training. To enhance ICT integration, the institution should invest in additional computer labs, improve internet connectivity, and adopt modern digital tools. Capacity-building programs for instructors and public-private partnerships can further support digital transformation. Strengthening ICT infrastructure will enable distance learning, improve administrative efficiency, and modernize police training, ensuring officers receive seamless professional development while fulfilling their duties.
