நறறண கறஞசத தணபபடலகளல தழயன மனஉணரவகள / The Thoughts of Female Companion in Natrinai Kurinji Thinai Songs
Literature reveals the lifestyle of the people. Their content and form change with time. Tamil books express the excellence and superiority of the Tamil language. Literature has been written and established in Tamil both before and after the ancient grammar book, “Tholkappiyam”. Among them, the Sangam literature stands out. This literature reflects the culture, lifestyle and politics of the people of the Sangam period. Of the eight volumes of Sangam literature, five are classified as internal books, namely “Natrinai”, “Kurunthokai”, “Aingurunuru”, “Akananooru” and “Kalithokai”, while the five are classified as external books, namely “Patitruppattu” and “Purananooru”, and the mixed book is “Paripadal”. The book that is counted first in the eight volumes is “Natrinai”. This book contains four hundred songs that represent good morals. A female friend is a bridge that connects both the leader and the heroine in life. Kurinjinilam Thozhi, who appears in the story, asks the beloved to marry the leader who refuses the day sign and the night sign. It can be seen that the leader has expressed his feelings as intrusive and non-committal. It can be seen that the female friend expresses her feelings from her heart if the daughter is away with the leader. This article traces the role of female companion in “Natrinai” Kurinji songs.
