The Rolled Block Time Model: A Cylindrical Spacetime Framework for Unifying Relativity and Block Theory
This submission presents the Rolled Block Time Model, a conceptual framework that unifies Einstein’s relativity and block universe theory using a cylindrical spacetime metaphor. Originating from a paper-folding thought experiment, the model evolves into a rolled, tunnel-like geometry where the past, present, and future are all simultaneously visible—mirroring block theory’s all-at-once view of time while also honoring relativistic curvature. This 3D structure naturally aligns with the geometry of a black hole, leading to the hypothesis that such a model could exist only within a black hole’s sealed spacetime. The upload includes a narrative explanation of the concept as well as a LaTeX-formatted mathematical definition of the proposed metric.
