MPS_NOVA - Training Workshop 6 - Strategy in R&I Management Workshop - May 26th 2025

This 1-day workshop, held at NOVA University of Lisbon (UNL) and delivered by a Strategy Officer from the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), provided UNL Research & Innovation Managers with insights into the responsibilities of strategic staff at research institutions. The session covered key topics such as the role of managers at the interface between science and administration, strategy development, committee support and reporting, and appointment processes. Additionally, the workshop featured contributions from both the Strategy and Funding Offices of MDC, offering participants a comprehensive view of how strategic planning and funding coordination support scientific excellence. The event was also open to other Research Managers (RMs) in the Lisbon area, fostering wider knowledge exchange and professional networking.
