Analysis and Assessment of Pre- and Post-Test Survey Results for Climate Change and Green Skills Modules in an Educational App

This research investigates the potentials of the Hope Town Hero (HTH) app as an innovative tool to promote green skills and climate change education among children and youth. Grounded in the urgent need for widespread climate literacy, this study examines the effectiveness of integrating education into educational strategies, with a particular focus on the Philippines. The research method employs pre- and post-test surveys, qualitative feedback, and demographic data to assess the app’s effectiveness. Quantitative analysis reveals trends in knowledge acquisition and behavioral intentions, while qualitative insights from user feedback inform recommendations for enhancing the app. Findings show significant improvements in users’ understanding of green skills and climate issues. Recommendations include refining the user experience, expanding content coverage, and conducting longitudinal studies to evaluate long-term impacts. The research concludes that educational apps like HTH hold substantial promise in equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed to address climate challenges effectively.
