The Role of Neologism in Reading Development
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence that neologisms have on reading by analyzing the manner in which these terms are incorporated into texts, the difficulties and advantages that they bring to readers, and the broader implications that they have for the development of language and cognitive functioning. There are a number of purposes that neologisms serve in the reading process. These functions include enriching the language by adding new terms that reflect contemporary issues and trends, improving readers' comprehension by providing them with the vocabulary necessary to understand modern contexts, and reflecting the societal shifts that give rise to these new words. In spite of the potential they bring, neologisms can also present difficulties for readers, particularly those who come across phrases that are unknown to them. This study examines the ways in which readers interact with neologisms, taking into account the challenges of interpreting new vocabulary as well as the chances for linguistic development and cultural comprehension that are presented by neologisms. This article intends to shed light on how these words affect reading experiences, influence comprehension, and contribute to the evolution of language in both written and spoken forms by integrating existing research on the role of neologisms in reading and language acquisition.
