ALBERDI 2.0: UPDATING THE 'BASES' FOR A NEW ERA IN LATIN AMERICA
This paper analyzes Juan Bautista Alberdi's fundamental work, “Bases y puntos de partida para la organizacion política de la República Argentina” We examine the historical and political context that gave rise to this work, as well as unravel the fundamental concepts proposed by Alberdi for the construction of a modern State. A central aspect of the analysis lies in the identification of Alberdi's ideas that have transcended Argentine borders, influencing the constitutional thought of other Latin American countries. In addition, the text reflects on the validity of these ideas in the current context.
