AUTISM AND THE LABOR MARKET: A LITERATURE REVIEW
This study investigates the inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the labor market, a crucial issue given the social, educational, and organizational challenges faced by this population. The central problem involves the barriers that hinder the integration of individuals with ASD, such as stigma, lack of adaptation in the workplace, and limitations in training programs. The objective was to analyze these barriers and propose strategies for effective inclusion. Based on the gifted neoperspectivist paradigm and the hypothetical-deductive method, the research used a Narrative Bibliographic and Documentary Review (NBDR). The findings highlight the effectiveness of adapted training programs, but reveal gaps in the application of laws and ongoing support.
