THE SOCIAL IMPACT OF WELLNESS AND RECREATION ON STUDENTS IN TECHNICAL PROFESSIONS
This study explores the social impact of wellness and recreational activities on students in high-pressure academic environments, particularly those in Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Architecture, and related technical disciplines. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, including surveys and focus groups, data were collected from 500 students across five universities. Results indicate that participation in wellness and recreation significantly correlates with improved social interaction, academic performance, mental health, and overall life satisfaction. Recommendations are made for institutional policy reform to embed wellness into curricula
