Reflective Loss Factor and Propagation Decay Coefficient: Extended Theory
This research paper presents an advanced and expanded theoretical framework on the Reflective Loss Factor (RLF) and Propagation Decay Coefficient (RPDC), which explain the gradual loss of energy in wave-based systems such as light, X-rays, lasers, and optical signals. The model mathematically captures how energy diminishes during reflection and propagation through different media. This work is an improved version (Version 2) of my previously published theory on Zenodo (DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15207724). While the first version primarily focused on the concept of energy loss, this extended edition introduces a more complete and structured approach, incorporating aspects of energy preservation and practical relevance. New mathematical expressions, real-world applications, and refined theoretical interpretations have been included to make the theory more comprehensive and applicable. This version bridges conceptual physics with practical implementations in areas such as fiber optics, laser cavity design, and X-ray imaging. It is an independent and original contribution aimed at providing a unified explanation of energy degradation and transformation in wave dynamics.
