He\She: a complex system of human relationship in the play LA TRCTONIQUE DES SENTOMENTS by Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt.
This article analyzes the play La Tectonique des sentiments by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt in the context of the issue of relationships between men and women. The author explores how the traditional binarity of He/She is transformed in modern drama and how perceptions of love and power have changed. Special attention is given to the character of Diane, a woman who tries to manipulate relationships but ultimately becomes a victim of her own emotions. The concept of love as a game is analyzed, highlighting how the boundary between passion, hatred, and revenge becomes blurred. It is emphasized that in Schmitt’s play, relationships between men and women are not static but are in a state of constant transformation, reflecting contemporary views on gender roles and emotional dynamics. The author concludes that La Tectonique des sentiments can be regarded as an exploration of human emotions through the lens of psychology, social tension, and philosophical reflection.
