Data for "Optimal number of stabilizer measurement rounds in an idling surface code patch"

Data and Python codes for the manuscript: Optimal number of stabilizer measurement rounds in an idling surface code patch The python codes "surface_code_X/Y/Z_memory.py" contain scripts which generate Stim circuits for the corresponding memory experiments with N=1-max_N rounds. The numerical data is structered as follows: -Each txt file contains the results of 150 memory experiments with fixed noise parameters and code distances. The number of stabilizer measurement rounds grow from 1 to 150. -The top few lines of the files look like this (without explanations): # random seed: 56 - random seed of the simulation# T_1 time: 4 - relaxation time in seconds (neutral atoms) or in mikro seconds (superconductors)# T_phi time: 1.4 - pure dephasing time in seconds (neutral atoms) or in mikro seconds (superconductors)# gate error: 0.004 - gate error probability (p)# readout error: 0.002 - readout error probability (q)# Experiment time: 1 - Full idling time in seconds (neutral atoms) or in mikro seconds (superconductors)# Code distance: 9 - distance of the surface code patch# Number of simulations: 100000 - number of Monte Carlo rounds# Maximum number of rounds: 150 - maximum number of stabilizer measurement rounds# experiment time, number of rounds, p_z, p_x, p_y, p, number of failures - Explanations of different columns in the data - The type of the memory experiment (X, Y, or Z) is written in the name of each file.
