INTEGRATED STRATEGIES FOR THE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF NON-ALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most prevalent and pressing issues in modern healthcare, associated with the rising prevalence of obesity and metabolic syndrome. This article is dedicated to a comprehensive approach to the treatment and prevention of NAFLD, which includes numerous strategies aimed at correcting metabolic disturbances and improving the quality of life for patients. The paper discusses the key components of this approach, such as lifestyle modifications (dietary therapy and physical activity), pharmacological treatment, and interdisciplinary collaboration among specialists from various fields. The importance of individualizing treatment based on the specific characteristics of the patient and comorbid conditions is emphasized. Attention is also drawn to the necessity of preventive measures aimed at promoting healthy habits among the population to reduce the risk of developing NAFLD. In conclusion, it is noted that a comprehensive approach not only contributes to improving clinical outcomes but also prevents serious complications, such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and liver cirrhosis. This work aims to lay the foundation for further research and the development of effective health management programs for NAFLD.
