Employee Satisfaction with the Reward System in a University

Abstract: This study examined the influence of the reward system on employee satisfaction in a selected organization, focusing on recognition, advancement opportunities, salary, and working conditions. It also considered demographic factors—age, sex, and civil status—to assess their moderating effects. Results indicated that the reward system significantly impacted employee satisfaction across all dimensions. However, no statistically significant differences emerged based on demographic variables, suggesting that the reward system's influence was consistent regardless of age, sex, or civil status. Employees across different groups similarly perceived the reward system as integral to their workplace motivation and satisfaction. Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening recognition programs, clarifying career advancement pathways, and promoting salary transparency through structured communication and periodic compensation reviews. These improvements aim to enhance employee motivation, satisfaction, and commitment. Overall, the study highlights the pivotal role of a well-designed reward system in fostering a positive work environment and underscores the need for inclusive reward strategies that resonate across diverse employee profiles. Keywords: Reward system, Employee satisfaction, Motivation, Recognition, Advancement opportunities
