The European Education Area as a Pedagogical Model

Our study defines and analyzes the European Education Area (EHEA) at the level of a pedagogical model developed in accordance with the fundamental values of the information society, reflected in the area of curriculum design and development, which are at the basis of the construction and improvement of education systems now and in the future. In this perspective, the following are mentioned: The key competences designed by the European Union achievable at the level of curricular areas and educational subjects (constructed intradisciplinarily, interdisciplinarily and transdisciplinarily), on the background of the optimal links between theoretical knowledge (knowledge), skills/applied knowledge (knowledge-faire) and positive attitudes (towards theoretical and applied knowledge), supported by referring to the general pedagogical values (knowledge-etre).
