Advancements in Conventional and Molecular Approaches for Parasitic Diagnosis
Peptide and protein nanocluster vaccines represent cutting-edge advancements in immunization Recent advancements in parasitic diagnosis have significantly enhanced both conventional and molecular methods. Conventional approaches, such as microscopy, serological tests, and culture methods, have improved with better staining techniques, more sensitive tests like rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs), and higher-resolution imaging. However, molecular approaches have seen more substantial progress, with techniques like PCR, real-time PCR, and multiplex PCR enabling the detection of parasites at lower concentrations and with greater specificity. DNA sequencing, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), has allowed for the accurate identification of a wide range of parasites, even novel or rare species. Additionally, technologies like loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and CRISPR-Cas systems have made rapid, field-based testing more accessible and accurate, while microarray technology has enabled simultaneous detection of multiple infections.
