ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE FIELD OF PHARMACOGENOMICS
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought about a significant shift in pharmacogenomics, enabling the developmentof personalized therapeutic models tailored to a patient's genetic makeup. Machine and deep learning algorithmsof Artificial Intelligence could, therefore, analyze multiple aspects of genetics information that would accuratelyforecast patient responses to certain medications and drug prescriptions. The synergy also contributes to increaseddrug efficacy, reduced adverse drug effects, and enhanced efficiency in drug development. However, this is notyet the case, as there are some limitations to AI in pharmacogenomics, including data privacy concerns, ethicalissues, and the need for adequate validation of the framework before it can be implemented in practice.
