Ionized Gas Kinematics in Nearby Galaxies: Probing Outflows with MEGARA/GTC
We present a detailed kinematic analysis of the ionized gas phase in a local sample of 40 late-type galaxies using MEGARA/GTC integral field spectrograph. By fitting the Hα-[NII], Hβ-[OIII] and [SII] emission lines with up to three Gaussian components, we identify ionized outflows in 17 galaxies, mostly blue-shifted, in both star-forming and AGN-hosting systems. The mass loading factor is generally low (median η ~ 0.3), with only two galaxies (NGC 4593 and NGC 4750) showing η > 1: these results suggest that most outflows have a limited impact on their host galaxies. High-impact outflows are primarily associated with AGN, while lower-impact outflows are driven by star formation. This poster was presented at the 2nd IAA-CSIC Severo Ochoa Advanced School on Galaxy Evolution, held in Granada, Spain, from May 19th to 23rd, 2025.
