In Silico Medicine: The Story So Far

These are the slides from the webinar I gave on Jan 14th, 2025, upon invitation of the Avicenna Alliance. In the presentation, I summarise the trajectory from the original intuition of the Physiome project to the European Virtual Human Twin initiative, passing through the Virtual Physiological Human initiative. I also touch. on what I consider three important barriers to a wider adoption of in silico medicine, and some possible actions to lower them.
