SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION IN AVIATION: ENHANCING SPARE PARTS PROCUREMENT THROUGH DIGITAL TOOLS
Getting spare parts fast is very important for maintaining both the safety and cost of aviation companies. Classicsupply chain setups which depend on manual actions and separate communications, experience issues with beingprompt, clear and controlling what is in stock. Increased problems in managing global flights can make planes situnused for longer, raise their maintenance costs and decrease the dependability of flights. This research looks into how digital tools can improve how spare parts are obtained within the aviation supply chain.Using predictive analytics, blockchain and platforms that integrate purchasing activities helps improve decisions andhow operations are coordinated. Real-time data is used through predictive analytics to predict part demands whichlowers the risk of stock delays and excess inventory. With blockchain, each part can be easily traced and verified forboth meeting rules and ensuring top quality. And with a centralized system, dealing with suppliers is simplified andtasks within procurement are handled automatically which speeds everything up and leads to fewer errors.Based on real-world reports from big companies and recent studies, this paper states the proven positive impacts ofdigital transformation in aviation logistics. From the data, it appears that using digital systems leads to greateravailability of spare parts, and shorter lead times in purchasing and supports important goals like reducing costs, avoiding risks and being sustainable. The findings emphasize that digital transformation is important for aviationorganizations wanting to optimize their supply chains.
