Chronon Phase Transition Cosmology: A Unified Framework for Emergent Spacetime, Dark Matter, and Dark Energy
This paper introduces Chronon Phase Transition Cosmology (CPTC), a novel framework in which time itself emerges as a physical, dynamical field—the Chronon field—undergoing a critical phase transition. Reinterpreting the Big Bang as a spontaneous symmetry-breaking event in temporal order, CPTC offers a unified explanation for cosmic expansion, dark matter, dark energy, and structure formation. Unlike ΛCDM, CPTC requires no inflation, no exotic matter, and no cosmological constant. The paper spans over 80 pages and develops Chronon Field Theory (CFT) from first principles, including its geometric and topological implications, and applies it to cosmological observations such as galaxy rotation curves, gravitational lensing, and the CMB angular scale. A new semi-analytic derivation of galactic-scale dark matter analogs is presented, alongside numerical simulations and ray-tracing tests. This work provides both a foundational rethinking of time in physics and testable predictions for future cosmological surveys. It is intended for researchers in theoretical physics, cosmology, and the philosophy of time seeking rigorous alternatives to standard models.
